What is new on gw2wardrobe.com?
Hello again! This is my second post about this project. I had an amazing experience when I posted my first announcement about gw2wardrobe! The upvotes and comments were flowing and the traffic to the site hit a crazy 6.2k unique visitors the first five hours! Realizing that big amount of people were using something I had created was beyond thrilling.

One of the biggest issues of the tool back then was performance. Because ArenaNet had not given us an API to only fetch unique skins, I "had" to fetch all items in the game, around 20k. Well, good news! ArenaNet finally released the much-needed API! This brings us down to around 3k items. I have been at it for a week to get the improved gw2wardrobe working with this new API. I have of course also gone through the feedback I got from my first post and made most of them happen. I would like to mention one feedback in particular, the one about having the side panels follow you as you scroll down. The affix plugin that comes with Bootstrap was slightly buggy. After alot of testing, I decided to disable it again. I am currently working on a new solution for this.

How does gw2wardrobe.com work now?
Because of the new API, gw2wardrobe works slightly differently. Instead of pulling data from gw2spidy's API, I only use the official API of GuildWars2. A list of the IDs of all the unique skins are pulled and looped through to get details about each skin. The data is stored in a database and will be updated for each build. (PS!* If you are a kickass server-side developer, I would love for you to check out this project on github and help me out with an automated script. If interested hit me up on a private message.)* Clicking on an item will display details about that item in the detail area. In the detail area you can add the item to a tracker for easier access to your items of interest, go to the official wiki for this particular item, copy the link code, and most important of all, see how you can get your dirty little hands on that item. Please check out the about page for more information about the current features, and also which features I am planning on adding in the future.

It is worth noting that because the separate skin items rarely have their own official wiki entry (they use to be grouped with the rest of the set), these items will present you with a pretty blank detail section. I am planning on adding details about how to go about acquiring all items, but this might take a while. It will be better in the end, but slightly painful getting done. Known issues
This is a beta release, so you might experience the tool as not optimized and buggy. Performance-wise, this release is alot better than the first one, but bugs might still occur. I suggest you use an up-to-date browser (because Internet Explorer fanboys disliked my jokes about the browser, I will not make any this time) and stay away from using mobile devices. If you wish to submit bugs, I currently have not set up an email for this domain, but my personal email is located at the bottom of the about page. Or you could simply reply in the comments below. I read every comment and try to answer all of them (as long as they are constructive).

One last thing
If you are using AdBlock, I would love it if you disabled it for my site. I think there is a bug where this browser plugin blocks the Google Analytics script. I would love to get an accurate reading on this, so please disable AdBlock. Very appreciate, much gracias.
